SSC FAQ

4th - 6th September 2010.

2. Where is the campsite?

At a resort in Thailand. The exact location of the campsite is secret to protect the safety and privacy of our campers.

3. What is the accommodation like?

Our camp will be held at a beach resort, so no worries about camping or roughing it out! Rooms are at a reputable 4-star hotel with facilities.

4. How much does the camp cost?

Prices are divided into 3 categories:

Twin Room - Twin-sharing
Twin Room - Two single beds
Single Room

Prices are as follows:

o Twin - $649 nett
o Single - $799 nett

If you register before 21st June 2010, you will be able to enjoy the attractive Early Bird pricing:

o Twin - $599 nett
o Single - $749 nett

5. What are the activities we can expect to have at the camp?

There will be some ice-breakers to allow all campers to get to know each other better. We will also be conducting some water games so bring your swimwear with you. To add more meaning to this camp, we have also included some self-improvement workshops and a safe sex workshop conducted by our qualified camp personnel. Expect good food, great company and lots of fun!

6. Who will be conducting the workshops?

Our workshops are conducted by helping professionals.

7. Can I pick my roommate(s)?

If you are going to the camp in a group, you are allowed to share the room with your friends. If you are going to the camp alone, we will assign you your roommate(s).

8. What if my roommates are psychotic?

Please inform the organisers and we will try to help you out.

9. What if I see my ex there?

Let us know and we will try to arrange something so that your stay at the camp won't be a complete nightmare. Warn us if she is psychotic.

10. Can I bring my pet?

No. There are no pets allowed on the plane and at the campsite.

11. Can I get a refund?

There will be no refunds given if you decide not to join the event.

12. If I can't go for the camp, can I pass the ticket to my girlfriend's friend's ex's friend?

Yes you can, but there will be an extra S$75 administrative fee.

13. Can I be excused from some of the activities?

Unless you have a valid medical reason for not being able to participate in the activities, everyone is encouraged to do so. After all, that is why you joined the camp, isn't it? (In addition, of course, to the chance to spend a 3-day weekend with the marvellous Sayonites.) In case you're unable to participate in the water activities, we'll have something else planned for you so that you won't end up hanging around the pool with nothing to do.

14. Is your camp only for a certain type of queer woman?

We promise that the programme will involve fun and activities that both the young and mature will find enriching. As we will have the profile, mix and ratio of participants before the camp, we are able to adjust the activities accordingly. So far we have had campers ranging from ages 18 to 40++, single/attached/attached but partner is away etc, so you can be sure we will take this into consideration when planning the activities.

15. What if I am below 18?

If you are below 18, we will need a letter of consent from your parent or guardian.

16. Can I extend my stay?

Extensions may be allowed, with advance notice required. Please email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
